The Goliath Beast is a strange but very tough monster from the Scutari Empire, this lumbering creature was believed to be from the Scutari home world and was introduced to almost every world within the Empire by the Scutari. These creatures served a number of purposes within the Empire, but lately gained a new one. The Goliath beast became a fairly good weapons carrier and a good fighter when provoked. While fairly slow at first, but once angered it can gain a burst of speed that sometimes takes the rider by surprise. The shell on the back of the creature is well armoured and can resist much laser weapons, with Quantum Laser being the only one capable of doing any damage. The Goliath, may seem threatening, but oddly, once it looses its rider it just loiters around doing little. Occasionally in battle, the creature would just sit in the middle of battlefield and take a nap. However, these creatures are in predictable, and it is wise to try not to anger the beasts for once it gets angry it won't stop until the rider could control if it still had one. The Scutari often mount heavy weapons on the backs of these creatures and make use of its good all terrain ability. On planets with many seas and oceans these creatures can swim relentlessly with the rider and weapons on its back, and can be remarkably stable even in rough seas.
