The RSS Nightingale is a special Star ship. Classified as a Eagle Class Battleship but however it was not meant to be a combat vessel but more of a personal barge for the Skylark Colony's patron and loved Saint, Sky Lark. It was first constructed during the 100 year Skylark War against the Scimitar Colony. However it first saw combat Against the Imperium's 7th Legion.
The ship is much faster than any over Eagle Class ship and has much better protective shielding. But its hull is comparative much lighter than the Royal war purpose built ships. But the Armour is made of 6" of Spartinum hull plating. The ship took 10 years to be built dew to mostly the Spartinum armour and the decoration for the interior too. This ship is not meant for battle but is equipped just to be on the safe side. The Nightingale's first engagement was against 2 Battle Fleets of the 7th Legion and was forced to flee as it was alone with no support. The Nightingale was then rescued by a Pack of Hawk Class Destroyers, on-board the Nightingale was Commander Storm and the Young Saint herself. The Ship was hurriedly repaired by the Allies as they head to Skylark to win the Battle of Skylark saving the Colony from the 7th Legion.
The Ship saw little action other than to take part in the Liberation of the Skylark Colony forming the Only serviceable flagship of the Skylarks until the RSS Griffon was repaired. After the Liberation the Ship would see minor action against Babylonian infiltrators, Scimitar Colonial Trespassers, and Imperial Recon Fleets. But most of the time the ship would be used by the Saint of the Skylark Colony to travel to earth every 40 years to take part in the Galactic Olympics. The ship is the most prized ship in the Kingdom and even the Royal Family values the Ship as a work of Art and must be persevered. On a few Occasions the Royal Princesses would have a ride on the Ship whenever they were with the Skylark Colony on a visit.
